We have all made at least one bad decision in our life in which will keep us remembered for the rest of our lives. However, if those mistakes are considered petty then it would not hurt one bit. But, this one-man may have made the worst decision ever which gives an impact on him up until now.

A famous basketball player that was once popular with all his achievements and glory knew as Spencer Haywood. He holds the record of being an NBA All-Star 4 times and also once won a gold medal in the Olympics in the year 1986.

He was at the top of his game and everybody seems to be talking about him ever since he got into the LA Lakers club as well as being married to the most beautiful supermodel.

Then, he was asked what was the worst decision that you have ever made, the answer was rather surprising.

At one time Phil Knight who was the founder of NIKE has once approached him to make an offer of being an ambassador of NIKE. In return, he can either choose of getting USD100,000 or 10% NIKE shares. At that time, Haywood goes for the USD100,000 as suggested by his Manager.


NIKE is not the same as before

Now as of writing, NIKE is one of the biggest sports companies out there. It is considered very prestigious and very precious in the eyes of the world. The net worth of NIKE is estimated to be $86 Billion USD. As we can see whoever owns NIKE shares long ago up until now has become Billionaires due to their loyalty to this company.

If Haywood was to agree to become part of NIKE as shareholders, his current net worth will be valued at around $8.6 Billion.

Unfortunately, we cannot predict the future so it was rather unfortunate for Spencer Haywood.

Even though it was the most regretful mistake he has ever done, he never let the past disturb him until now. He said that 'the sadness will eat you alive' Just let it go.
